ABOUT MP3

What's MP3?

Mp3 does means MPEG 1 Layer 3, and it's one of the digital formats to store audio files into your PC. It seems like used for *.wav files or another ones, but the difference is noted in the compression ratio, which is 10:1 in *.mp3 files or better, as well as encoding properties.

How can I create MP3 files?

First of all you must copy songs to your computer, by using software programs  called CD ripper. These programs transforms the *.cda CD's format to a format which can be readed by your PC, as   *.wav format. Lately, with the programs called Encoder, the *.wav files are transformed to *.mp3 files. However, actually there are some software programs that can do two transformations simultaneously, i.e. as CD is copied to Hard Disk, this is transformed to *.mp3 format, ready to be listen into your PC, with a size difference 10 times smaller, and a sound quality as good as your audio CD's.

Why WINAMP?

Easy to reply, for me it's the best mp3 player actually.
At same time, WinAmp is the most popular and known. Very simple, easy to install, and, with the Skins, it results funny, a good entertainment.

What are the SKINS?

The SKIN is the WINAMP mask. You can change it at your choice until you find the preferred skins to make your personal WinAmp player.

To install the SKINS is simple: Once downloaded the *.zip files to your PC, move it to \Skins directory inside your WinAmp directory, default is: C:\Program files\Winamp. Since 2.04 version, ISN'T NECESSARY to unzip the *.zip files. Once moved, opens the WinAmp player, and use the keys 'Alt+s' or choose the menu: 'options\skin browser' and you'll find all installed Skins, which will be work when you selected them with the mouse or up & down keys. OK?

So, let's go with the WinAmp SKINS !!
